Giorgio Lanza, the founder of Timage, has made efficiency the ethos of the company. With high standards forming the heart of the business, the company supplies a large and diverse range of boat builders and marine specialists throughout the UK and worldwide. Our products can be seen on some of the most prestigious production and semi-custom yachts on the planet. The company has also expanded into the construction, architectural and design industries where marine-grade components have become very desirable culminating in the business becoming a key supply partner to high end projects in the residential, hotel and restaurant sectors.
Quality and beautiful design are at the heart of every product that Timage sells. Our product range has been carefully selected over the years from a hand-picked group of Italian suppliers who share our same values and attention to detail. Many of our supply partners have long-standing relationships with the business, testament to the importance of a good working relationship and shared desire to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.
With knowledge that has been passed down through the generations our team is able to identify the need for a better product and envisage and source the solution.

The story began in 1978 when Giorgio Lanza established Lanza Fittings and began to import a range of brass hardware and giftware produced by relatives in his native Italy. Giorgio grew up on the shores of Lake Iseo, an area which has become famous for its excellence in marine equipment. Origins of this expertise can be easily traced back to the lake's small boat builders of the 1950's who became famous for their timber launches.
By the late 1960's, Riva Boats had cemented its reputation as the builder of the finest wooden boats in the world. And so, a number of highly skilled craftsmen began supplying this prestigious boat yard with their products. It soon became clear to Giorgio that there was a growing demand for the quality and design of these Italian products and his range of products quickly grew to include aluminium pedestals, gangways and davits. This expansion marked the beginning of a successful working relationship between Besenzoni and Timage, one that still thrives today.

In 1988 Giorgio Lanza was joined by his eldest son Marcus and together they grew the range of products on offer whilst always ensuring the quality and service for which the company had become known. Timage remains a family business to this day and in August 2012 Marcus Lanza was joined by his brother Oliver.
Timage is now firmly in its second generation of Lanza family stewardship. The last decade has seen a great deal of advancements for the company with the development of both an e-commerce platform and new ERP system in 2018. This was then followed by the digitisation of the distribution warehouse in 2022 with a full barcoding and tracking system.
Oliver Lanza explains: “We have been pushing hard to ensure that our clients receive the best possible service when they choose Timage. It is essential that we are fast, accurate and always communicate well with our customers. This is why we continue to invest in the quality of our systems, facilities, and our valued staff members.”
2024 marks an exciting moment for the business as we prepare to embark on the redevelopment of our Essex HQ. Construction will begin soon on a new office and permanent showroom followed swiftly by the demolition of the current office and the extension of the warehouse. By the end of 2025, the company will have nearly doubled its operational area and will be able to welcome architects and designers to the new showroom.
“We are very excited for this new chapter” explains Oliver Lanza, “for the first time in our history, we will be able to welcome our clients to a purpose-built showroom where they can experience the products first hand. The showroom will also provide the perfect setting for the development of our digital content for those clients who are not able to visit in person”.
