The Besenzoni Design Centre has been hard at work creating this innovative piece of hardware design. The SP603 provides a level of multi-functionality that has never been seen before. This system can truly replace the passerelle, bathing ladder and tender deployment products with its all-in-one approach.
The stern of large yachts has become an important space on board. Once purely used for tender storage or access to the garage, the trend for beach club style lounge areas and waterside relaxation zones has made the platform and stern arrangement an important consideration in contemporary yacht design. The SP603 is the ultimate designer's friend, offering a discrete solution for tender deployment and rescue, sea access steps and boarding passerelle.
The SP603 by Besenzoni does away with the need for a large and heavy platform launch system. Instead of lowering the entire platform into the water, the SP603 can quickly extend and launch the tender. Up to 800Kg tenders can be used in conjunction with the standard SP603, equating to a large jet tender. The tender remains on the SP603 during navigation but total platform access can be gained immediately at anchor by extending or raising the system with the tender in place or by launching the tender.
A separate passerelle or gangway is not necessary when the SP603 is specified. The system can extend by up to 3 metres which allows guests to board the yacht effortlessly at a stern facing mooring. Drop-in handrails provide added safety and comfort of boarding. The 1.6 metre wide teak walkway offers excellent access for all users, removing the classic narrow gangway boarding fear that many people experience. Self-levelling steps are the final touch to make boarding a breeze.
As well as raising up to the keyside for boarding function, the SP603 can also lower to a maximum 55° angle into the sea. This provides quite simply one of the best bating ladder solutions on the market. Once again, the wide 1.6 metre steps offer market leading security when boarding from the sea. The drop-in handrails providing a swimming pool like entrance and exit from the water.
