The Besenzoni Design Centre has created the innovative SP603, a multifunctional piece of hardware that combines the functions of a passerelle, bathing ladder, and tender deployment platform into one solution.
This automatic system features a ladder that tilts upward or downward while keeping the teak steps level, with a maximum downward inclination of 55° and an upward inclination of 30°. It has a maximum lifting capacity of 800 kg and is constructed from polished or powder-coated stainless steel, complete with manually removable stanchions and a rope handrail. The aluminium housing box is not watertight, and the system is operated via a touchpad panel remote control from the cockpit, combined with an electro-hydraulic control unit.
The SP603 eliminates the need for bulky launch systems by allowing quick tender deployment and retrieval while maintaining platform access. It extends up to 3 metres for easy boarding, features a wide 1.6-metre teak walkway for enhanced safety, and offers self-levelling steps for effortless access from the sea, making it the ultimate choice for contemporary yacht designs.
Besenzoni are renowned for producing high-end products, including their range of ladders designed for yachts and superyachts. Their ladders are crafted from premium materials such as stainless steel, carbon fibre, and teak, ensuring exceptional durability and reliability. The range includes bathing and boarding ladders in various configurations, from manual drop-in models and electric options to fully automated hydraulic letterbox designs.
Ladders with a hybrid function, serving as both bathing ladders and gangways, effectively combine the features of a gangway and a ramp. The ladder can be swiftly transformed into a gangway by adjusting the step inclination, extension, and height. This model has been designed to ensure a safe walkway on steep inclines and to facilitate access to the quay. Customisation options for this type of product are extensive and essential. The technical specifications, including size, tilt, rotation, and finish, can be modified to meet the specific requirements of the shipyard, owner, or designer, allowing for a blend of various technical and aesthetic preferences.
