This robust hatch lock is the quickest, simplest and most effective way to securely fasten all types of hatches from the outside. To fasten, the bolt head is turned clockwise with a 24 mm box spanner until the desired tightness is obtained. The bolt operates a locking plate, which travels up the thread until it engages into the stop plate. To unlock, repeat the procedure in reverse until locking plate is clear from stop plate. All components are stainless steel except for the bush and stop plate which are made from brass and are available in either polished brass or chrome plated brass finish.
The hatch lock is supplied with a brass striker plate. For the correct functionality of the lock, it is recommended that the striker plate supplied is used in the installation of the product.
This product is pressure die cast by Foresti & Suardi in Italy and is available in natural unlacquered brass or chrome plated brass. Foresti & Suardi have been manufacturing pressure die cast brass marine hardware since 1961. Fittings such as this are amongst the core products manufactured since those early days. The tooling may have been updated, and technology has moved on a great deal, but these are the heritage pieces that established the reputation of Foresti & Suardi, as well as Timage, in the global yacht accessories market.
Our Heritage Collection features fittings that have been in our catalogue of hardware since the beginning of our brand back in 1978. The parts are typically pressure die cast brass and can be supplied in a polished, unlacquered finish or with a chrome plating. These parts are iconic pieces of 'deck jewellery', made famous by the 1960's and 70's timber craft and commonly used on modern interpretations of such boats.
