Meet the Team - Esme Murphy

If you have had any interaction with Timage over the last 18 months it is very likely that you have spoken to our Customer Service and Sales Administrator - Esme Murphy, and in this instalment of 'Meet the Team' you will find out more about our gym going, wispa loving, fabric expert.

Hi Esme - when did you join Team Timage?

3rd May 2022 – I was very nervous!

And what is your role here?

I look after our customers via the webstore, email, and telephone. I process all incoming orders and enquiries and generally make it a happy place.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I enjoy my garden, now that it looks like a garden and not a building site, walking my dog, playing games with my boy – who is no longer a boy – and sewing, most of all. Oh, and going to the gym!

What was your first job?

My very first job? Ah, I used to go odd jobbing – knocking on doors and asking for odd jobs, when I was probably about 9 or 10.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

I wanted to be a tower crane driver, because when I was little my dad was a tower crane driver and used to take us to the building site at weekends. I did apply when I was 15 or 16 to a training programme, but I couldn’t because I was a girl!

Where is your favourite holiday destination?

Majorca, without a shadow of a doubt, I love it. I have been there a few times; it was my first holiday, and I would like to move there when I retire – when I am 80!

What three words would you use to describe your time at Timage?

Fun…. busy….and abs! Haha – that is because I started the gym when I joined Timage.

If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would you pick?

Does it have to be a single thing, or a meal? If it was a single thing it would be a Wispa Gold, if it was a meal, it would be Yakisoba.

If you were stranded on a desert island and could have three things with you, what would they be?

Well, I would need to drink water, so a bucket to catch the rain, do I really want a bucket out of my three things? I would take my dog so I had someone to talk to and a machete so I could build a house. A bucket, a dog, and a machete – there you go.

What is the best thing about working at Timage?

I do not have any standing over me telling me what to do, you guys (her colleagues) and time just whizzes past.

What is your favourite Timage product?

I think it would have to be our LED strip lighting, I want some for outside my work room, the side or top view.

And finally, if you had a boat, what would you call it?

Right, I have been thinking about this. Taking into account who would probably be on the boat with me, my other half, it would be the HMS Dunning-Kruger. I am not telling you what it is, you will have to google it, if you read about it, you will realise you know someone that this applies to.
