Product Spotlight - Tessilmare Fender Profiles

In this blog we are going to shine a spotlight on some of our fender profiles, manufactured in Italy by Tessilmare. Founded in 1947, Tessilmare is renowned for its innovative designs, redefining the standards of protection for your boat. Designed to safeguard boats against collisions, impacts, and docking mishaps, Tessilmare fenders have become the industry standard for superior protection. With their exceptional durability, unmatched performance, and sleek aesthetics, Tessilmare fender profiles offer a solution that blends seamlessly with any vessel. 

Sphaera is an innovative stainless-steel profile with a Duralene® core. This design ensures that the profile cleanly follows the shape of the hull. The patented product design prevents deformation and allows it to be bent around difficult angles with minimal effort.  

Sphaera has three installation options the stainless-steel bar can be fitted directly to the vessel, with a slim PVC base, or with the standard PVC base. The 316-grade stainless-steel profile is supplied in 3m lengths for our UK customers (2m for international deliveries) and is pre-drilled at 200mm hole centres. The PVC base is sold in one continuous length, to the specified length for the project, up to a maximum of 300m and is available in white, grey, and black with additional colours available on request (minimum order quantities may apply).  

The Sphaera PVC base acts as a gasket and offers a cushioning between the stainless-steel profile and the deck surface. The slim and standard bases are both available with a lip to the lower edge. This is ideal for use when installing on a hull and deck joint. The lip neatly tucks underneath the deck moulding overhang, offering a faultless finish, and making the joining of the hull and deck a dry process, avoiding the expense and mess of using wet sealing compounds.     

Stainless steel joint caps can be used to cover joints whilst keeping the bars perfectly aligned, with stainless steel end caps to provide an eye-catching finishing touch.

Radial is a high-quality, durable, and attractive patented rub rail that is perfect for all marine environments, on yachts, sailing boats, motorboats, docks, wharves, and much more! Radial is unlike other profiles and can be ‘cold’ installed (may need to be warmed during winter months), by hand, in a few fast steps.  

Radial Fender Profile in Black, Grey and White

Radial is supplied in two separate pieces, a soft external marine PVC profile and a rigid PVC track. The track is supplied in 2m bars, and the top profile can be cut to length as required with a maximum length of 300m. The top profile is available in white, grey, and black with additional colours available on request (minimum order quantities may apply). The external profile bends easily around the boat and the benefit of the continuous lengths means that there is no waste or unsightly joints. 

Radial Fender Profile can be  cold installed and has a range of steel and PVC finishing accessories.

Where there is a need to make a join there are a range of joint caps available, in stainless-steel or in PVC to match the colour of your profile. End caps in stainless-steel and PVC are also available.  

Qbe is a brand-new fender profile solution that provides excellent impact resistance in a square form. As with the other Tessilmare rub rail products, Qbe is sold per metre and delivered in a roll for simple stock handling. It is a lightweight solution and is secured in place with a stainless-steel fixing bar, hidden below the top PVC profile. 

Qbe is primarily designed as a hull-side impact fender profile and can be used on medium to heavy duty applications. The design of Qbe allows for easy installation and is ideal for both boxed and sandwich junctions.
