Meet the Team - Martyn Harvey

This morning I had a chat with Martyn 'Harv' Harvey. As usual I will be asking him questions relating to work, as well as some random quickfire questions.

What is your job title?

Warehouse and Technical Support

How long have you worked at Timage?

I stopped counting after 20 years, it must be in 1998/99 that I joined.

What are your duties/responsibilities at Timage?

Unloading and loading lorries that come in, checking in deliveries, answering technical queries on the phone or via email, booking carriers and picking and packaging orders.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I like photographing wildlife and shooting – air rifles and clay pigeon

If you could have superpower what would it be?

I think it would be to fly, I would fly everywhere, I just want to be a bird.

What was the first job you ever had?

The first job I ever had was working in a supermarket garden centre, unloading and loading stuff!

What do you enjoy most about working at Timage?

It is relaxed, it has a pleasant family type atmosphere.

If you could click you fingers and become an expert in anything, what would it be?

Probably wildlife photography and then I might get some decent pictures.

What is your favourite holiday destination?

It is very exciting – north Norfolk! Guess why, wildlife! They have marsh harriers there.

What is your favourite Timage product?

Anything that is not on the top shelf! I would say our passerelles, I get to play with them! (They are his area of expertise)

If you had a boat, what would you call it?

Stolen, because it wouldn’t be mine!

If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life what would it be?

Curry! I usually have a vindaloo, rice, peshwari naan and tarka dhal.

What three words would you use to describe working at Timage?

My second home!

If you were stranded on a desert island, what would be your three luxury products?

I would definitely want a bed; I am not sleeping on the floor! Some binoculars to watch the wildlife and any book by Ray Mears or Bear Grylls as it may come in handy.

What was your dream job when you were little?

I wanted to be a fighter pilot, what went wrong?!
