Meet the Team - Louisa Borsey

Today, I interviewed our usual interviewer, Louisa “Vino Enthusiast” Borsey. As she usually does, I will be asking her questions relating to work as well as some random, quickfire questions!

What is your job title?

I deal with purchasing, as well as being a Key Account Manager, e-Commerce Manager and Warehouse Supervisor

How long have you worked at Timage?

Just over 3 wonderful years.

What are your duties here?

I am the e-Commerce Manager, and under this role I am in charge of the website, adding new products and editing current ones, creating content for the blog, and making sure that it is slick and efficient. I also look after purchasing and do the majority of the ordering for customer orders and stock, along with Debs who looks after the Besenzoni purchasing. I am also the Key Account Manager, this involves looking after a select few key accounts, being their main point of contact, ensuring their orders are delivered on time and dealing with any queries they have. Lastly, I supervise our warehouse - I’m the link between the office and the warehouse, so I would say I’m like the funnel. Office - to Louisa - to warehouse and vice versa!

What was your dream job when you were younger?

A marine biologist because I was obsessed with whales and dolphins as a child. The dream could never be a reality because I cannot swim, and I’m scared of the water! Although, – I work in the marine world!

If you could have any superpower what would it be and why?

I would say fly but I’m scared of heights (as well as water!), so I’d probably cry every time I did that – or be able to walk through walls? Actually no, that sounds ridiculous, invisibility so I can keep myself to myself when I want to.

What is your favourite Timage product?

I’m going to say our bulkhead lights, in particular our new grill-less designs and I prefer frosted glass!

Your favourite childhood memory?

It would be at my Grandma and Grandad’s house, they had a wendy house in the garden – my sister, my grandad and I would sit inside it and have a cup of tea with a KitKat. My grandad would send my sister and I up the garden to the kitchen and say to my Grandma that “Grandad want’s a KitKat”, it’s just a cute memory.

What is your go-to karaoke song?

I’m going to say, Never too much by Luther Vandross! I may not do this classic much justice, but it’s the best song for karaoke. (I thought this was a fantastic choice of song!)

If you were stranded on an island, what would be your 3 luxury products?

Sauvignon blanc, just wine for sure and some form of music, because I cannot sit in silence for long – so perhaps a radio of some kind, sun lotion as I need that factor 50!

What is your favourite season and why?

This is tough, because autumn is my favourite for the fashion but summer for the weather because I hate being cold… I would pick summer.

What 3 words would you use to describe working at Timage?

This is one everyone struggles with... I could have prepared for this one too! I would say exciting, because it’s exciting to go to the shows and seeing the boats, plus it’s good to work here in the office in general. Then, fun or funny because we are always laughing in the office and… Busy.

In a Hollywood movie about your life, who would play you?

It must be Jennifer Aniston, I love her and I aspire to be 1999 Rachel Green from Friends.

What is your favourite novel?

I prefer factual books but, if we are talking fiction, then it would be Harry Potter as I still love it now! Also, If you are wondering, my house is Gryffindor.

Now, the ultimate question if you had a boat – what would you call it?

I actually don’t have a clue. What could I call it? Well… it’s just got to be G.O.A.T (this is an abbreviation for Greatest Of All Time)

What type of boat would it be?

I’m going all out, I would have a luxury yacht! I would be planted out in the middle of the sea… actually, no probably in a marina or harbour.

On that note, we shall end this colleague interview there!

Thank you, Louisa, for allowing me to take over the blog for the day!
